‘Don’t Let The Old Man In’

When you hear those cold winds blowing

That bring him knocking on your door

Hang the Do Not Disturb sign

And turn off the lights

And don’t let the old man in

You’ve lived a good life

And though your body is worn

You wouldn’t even know how old you are

If you didn’t know when you were born

You still have a lot of living to do

Songs to sing and poems to write

So when you hear those cold winds blow

And he’s knocking at your door

Open the door and say

“Not yet old man”
